I have received a grant from King County 4Culture to put on an art show this year. I intend it to be a group show in June at Seattle’s The Factory gallery , with large party events.
Ideally, I’m looking for about 12 visual artists of any medium, each person submitting 4-6 works, depending on size. Right now I have stained glass, metalwork, painting, collage and maybe leatherwork. It will be hung salon-style.
Art can be for sale. Gallery takes 40%.
Like I said earlier, the theme is queer people portraying queer bodies. It can be anything that people interpret. So far, there are literal nude portraits, fruit body parts made out of metal, bird skeletons, and abstract expressions of how it feels to be trans.
